Sync SalesForce Contacts to Outlook Contacts and smartphones
The itrezzo contact management software can also sync SalesForce Contacts to an Outlook contact folder on an Exchange Server Mailbox. This itrezzo connector uses the SalesForce API to retrieve all contacts in the given SalesForce subscription. It caches these contacts in a Microsoft SQL database. There is a scheduled process which refreshes the database one or more times per day.
The itrezzo SQL connector can run against this SQL Database performing repetitive and efficient queries from the database. Using this technique, any SalesForce field can be mapped to almost any Outlook Contact Field.
As an example, if there are 100 users that would get a Custom Contact List, the local SQL database cache is used to provide instant results for large and complex queries. For example, sync all of the contacts for a specific sales region to the respective sales person. Once the contacts are synced to all users, subsequent Outlook contact updates are incremental. Contacts in Outlook are only touched when the SalesForce data changes.
